Sakura and Rain

Nara Park

I have been to this park for countless times since my childhood. Many adults took me (and us children) to this park out without any consent. This park is one of the biggest destinations by local children not only for excursions/field trip but also recreations (cheap).

I’m not saying I wasn’t fun and I rather liked this park because of the Great Daibutsu and deers. There is a small cave inside the house of Daibutsu. Usually only children could get through it and it is believed if you can et through you’ll have good luck. I got through for several times at a time when I was little.

I don’t remember if I had any chance to go to this park during sakura season. One day I went to this park for the first time in many years to find something new for me. I failed once because even sakura is very familiar with me and also the park was. Later I re-visited the park amid rain. I finally found what I was looking for.

This park is located in the city of Nara, Nara prefecture in which there are many tourist attractions like Todaiji temple, Kasuga-Taisha grand shrine, and…deers. It is very close to Osaka and you can get there by train for 30 – 40 minutes.
