Behind the Lens: Photographing the Belgian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka
Project Scope & Timeline
The shoot spanned two full days in late May 2025—coinciding with one of the busiest periods at the Expo site. Given the location’s public access, we operated in constantly crowded conditions, capturing key lighting installations without the possibility of visitor removal or exclusive access.
Lighting Challenges and Solutions
One of the core goals was to highlight **Delta Light’s architectural lighting** integrated across public, restaurant, and office areas. In spaces with high visual noise, such as the souvenir shop and restaurant, we used **long exposure techniques** to blur human movement and isolate lighting patterns.
We also documented how lighting interacted with interior materials—showcasing texture, reflection, and architectural detail.
Workflow and Delivery
Despite logistical limitations, we completed the shoot as scheduled and delivered a curated set of **90 retouched images** in both 300 dpi and 72 dpi formats to support both PR and press needs. Our client was Delta Light, a global leader in lighting design, who used the materials in coordination with their PR agency.

Takeaways
This project exemplifies our capability to deliver **high-quality architectural photography** under strict time constraints and public access limitations. We thank Delta Light for their trust and look forward to further collaborations.
