Commissioned by the Communications Team of the German Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, this series documents the pavilion’s circular timber architecture, immersive exhibition zones, and evolving landscape concept. Shot during the “pre-opening” construction phase (April 7 – 8 2025), the work captures the pavilion’s unique blend of sustainable design, nature-tech integration, and evening ambience. Images were delivered in two stages (press-ready selection within 24 h; full set within one week) and now serve official press, web and long-term documentary needs.
The work involved specialized post-production techniques, including removal of sensitive security equipment and identifiable individuals, in strict compliance with airport regulations. Despite these constraints, the images retain a clean architectural aesthetic, highlighting materiality, circulation, and design clarity.
