Daisho Photography creates clear, publication-ready images of completed architecture across Japan. We work with architects, design practices, contractors, building owners and international teams that need the design to read accurately across a coherent set of photographs.

Photography that explains the building

The aim is not a collection of unrelated wide views. We build a sequence that establishes the project, shows how spaces connect and records the material, structural and lighting decisions that give the building its character.

A typical brief can include:

• exterior context and principal elevations;
• circulation, spatial relationships and key interiors;
• material, structure and lighting details;
• daylight and twilight coverage where the project requires both;
• horizontal and vertical compositions for editorial, awards, web and presentation use.

A practical production plan

Before the date is fixed, we confirm the priority views, site contact, usable access window, intended users and delivery requirements. The client or site representative remains the source of truth for access and operating constraints. We shape the shot plan around those confirmed conditions rather than assuming that every booked hour is uninterrupted shooting time.

On site, architectural stills are normally made from a tripod with bracketed exposures. This measured approach preserves window detail, interior depth and material colour while keeping the set visually consistent.

Documented architectural work

Our documented work includes Kansai International Airport for Populous, the Belgian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka for Delta Light, and the German Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. These projects support our focus on architecture and interiors; they are not used to imply experience in unrelated sectors.

Session options

• Focused — up to 2 hours: ¥120,000 / $800
• Half-Day — up to 4 hours: ¥180,000 / $1,200
• Full-Day — up to 8 hours: ¥300,000 / $2,000
• Complex assignments: individually quoted, generally from $2,500–$3,000 and above

Standard retouching and a standard usage licence are included. Travel, special equipment, exclusive or perpetual usage rights, and advanced editing are quoted separately. The final quote records the scope, intended users and licence terms. Prices exclude Japanese consumption tax (10%).
